Smoking time: Approximately 80–90 minutes Body: Medium, developing toward medium-full Nicotine strength: Moderate, with a noticeable buzz toward the end Construction: Very good; excellent draw and smoke production, two minor burn corrections First third Opened with pronounced cedar and smooth, creamy smoke. Immediately flavorful without being aggressive. Gentle spice initially appeared as a tingle on the lips before developing into identifiable white pepper. Middle third Pepper receded and became more balanced. Earthy leather emerged and gradually overtook the cedar. The creamy texture persisted, giving the cigar a rich but approachable character. Final third Considerably fuller and more assertive. Earthy leather became prominent, accompanied by a strong but pleasant return of pepper, charred wood, and mineral notes. A dry, roasted coffee-bean character lingered on the finish. No distinct chocolate notes detected. Construction and smoking experience Effortless draw and generous, creamy smoke throughout. Burn became slightly uneven and required two minor corrections, but neither significantly detracted from the experience. Long, satisfying smoking session with interesting flavors from the beginning through the final third. Finished because the nicotine buzz was sufficient, not because the cigar had become unpleasant. Overall verdict A well-balanced, characterful cigar with excellent flavor progression. More complex and expressive than the Arturo Fuente Chateau Sun Grown, but not necessarily more enjoyable overall. Definitely buy again. A strong candidate for regular rotation.
