Started beautifully with creamy, abundant smoke, gentle sweetness, roasted caramelized nuts, and cedar. Very little pepper or harshness, with just a touch of astringency. As it progressed, leather, subtle cocoa, and baking spices emerged, along with an interesting savory, almost salty quality. The flavors developed nicely without becoming overpowering. Exceptionally well balanced throughout, with a richness and complexity that didn't require a heavy body or strong nicotine kick. Construction was excellent, with an effortless draw, plentiful smoke, and a consistently excellent burn. The 60-minute smoking time was ideal. What really impressed me was the elegance and balance. Reminded me of a good Willamette Valley or Russian River Pinot Noir — nuanced, flavorful, and satisfying without being overly powerful. 4.7/5 — My new favorite. Absolutely one I'd buy by the box.
