Trying out this October cigar of the month from tobacco Tactical. The Badlands Cut & Light to Start. Wanted a fresh palate to try this one out so just paired with a simple tangerine seltzer. First third opens up with a very light hay, earthy and a touch of dried fruit. Expectation is of Mango but it was a little more tangy for me. I would say closer to apricot as it was a bit on the tart side. I would say the second third I started to enjoy this cigar a bit more. There was more sweetness with notes of molasses. The cigar opened up and got a more chewy and earthy smoke. As my palate really adjusted at the end I thought of a spirit that may work with this so I poured a glass. This one is new to me and was left in my garage on my 1st annual cigar night. It's a bourbon style spirit with a punch of fruitiness. Not my style but worked with the notes of molasses and dried fruit. I'm interested in others take on this cigar. If you have tried this one yet let me know your thoughts 👇.
